2 Injured When Car Hits Chattanooga Fire Department Truck Tuesday Morning

A crash in Red Bank is under investigation after a Chattanooga fire truck was struck by a car, leaving two people injured.

It happened on Tuesday at 9:40 a.m. near the intersection of Browntown Road and Dayton Boulevard. 

The CFD truck was parked and it appears an Acura was driving erratically, according to witnesses.

The car clipped the side of the truck, from the pump panel to the front tire.
Then the driver proceeded to run into a Dodge Ram and a telephone pole.

Two people in the Acura were injured and taken to the hospital by HCEMS.

No fire personnel were injured in the incident.

The fire truck did sustain damage.
