Elaine Redman
Baylor Volleyball won the 2019 River City Rumble Volleyball tournament for the fourth straight year, going 7-0 for the weekend.
With 21 Varsity teams in town, Baylor had to battle throughout the afternoon going 3 sets in their final 3 matches. The best come back happening in the semi-final when the Red Raiders found themselves down 8-14 to Pope from GA and came back to take the match 18-16.
Last spring Chattanooga volleyball lost a dear friend and fan of the game.
Nancy Brock could be seen on the sidelines and the stands supporting her husband and long time volleyball coach Paul Brock.
She was a mother to Baylor volleyball player Conleigh Brock and son Miller. She was also a mom to many of the players she supported over the years. Nancy was a true fan of the game and could be seen on the sidelines full of heart and with a big smile on her face no matter what battle she was facing.
She was honored at the close of the tournament with the naming of the Nancy Brock Heart and Smile Award. The refs and coaches from the Championship match were watching for the player that played with heart and made those around smile. The winner this year is junior, Elaine Redman of Baylor.
