Mollie “Bonny” Yvonne Cooke, 78, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019.  

Bonny was a lifelong member of Greenwood Baptist Church, where she loved serving alongside her husband, Yarnell.

She retired from Allied Laboratories as a pathology transcriptionist. Bonny loved gardening and their sweet dog Mooky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Rosalie Mooneyham.

Survivors include her husband, Yarnell “Y. L.” Cooke; son, Michael (Sandy) Burns and granddaughter, Megan Burns all of Ooltewah; son, Scotty Burns of Chattanooga; stepchildren Shani (Jeremy) Ricketts and Andy Cooke; step-grandchildren, Georgie and Jamie Ricketts, Jade and Georgia Cooke; and step great-grandchildren, Lilly and Lucas, all of England.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the funeral home with Reverends Ricky, and James Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Baptist missions fund.
