Man Shot On Sylvan Drive After Accosting Two People At Residence

Chattanooga Police said a man accosted two people at a residence on Sylvan Drive before he was shot early Saturday morning.
 
Jeremy Brister, 25, was charged with aggravated criminal trespass, aggravated burglary and two counts of aggravated domestic violence.
 
The victims were listed as a woman, 38, and a juvenile male.
 
At 1:28 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of Sylvan Drive on a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, police located a male suffering from a gunshot wound.
 
Hamilton County EMS responded and transported the man to a local hospital.
 
Officers secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Unit to respond. Investigators were able to determine that the male who was shot had entered the residence illegally.
 
Police said the man assaulted both residents of the home and then was shot.
 
Brister was taken to the hospital. Upon his release from the hospital he was to be moved to the Hamilton County Jail.
