A homeowner in Sale Creek on Sunday afternoon called 9-1-1 reporting his barn was on fire at 11605 Bamboo Tr.

Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting a fully involved barn fire.

Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire to the barn due to structure endangerment.

No injuries were reported. Fire officials reported the 30x30 barn was used for storage.

The fire started from a fire pit, said officials.

The barn is a total loss and the adjacent house had heat damage valued at $10,000. Due to the hot temperatures, Sale Creek VFD requested a mutual aid response for Soddy Daisy Fire Department to respond to the fire scene with manpower.
