Betty Ann Dabbs
Betty Ann Dabbs, 87, of Chattanooga passed from death to glory, after a long battle with dementia, on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1931, in Washington, D.C. to the late Paul F. and Gladys Florence Maxwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Dabbs; and her grandparents, Frank and Anna Nebel.
Mrs. Dabbs was an active and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 40 years. She sang in the church choir and played in the hand bell choir. She sang with the Sweet Adelines. Mrs. Dabbs loved reading, gardening, and enjoyed traveling. She loved her many dogs throughout the years and she loved her family very much.
Survivors include her children, Wayne E. (Kathy) Dabbs, Glenda S.Dabbs, and Brent F. (Crystal) Dabbs; grandchildren, Melanie A. Stogdill and Brian E. Dabbs; great grandchildren, Nathan P. Stogdill, Mikayla C. Stogdill, Riley M. Dabbs, Connor E. Dabbs, and Oliver T. Dabbs; sister, Carol J. Rose; brother, Paul F. Maxwell, Jr.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 6, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
There is no formal visitation.
