Knoxville Teen Who Was Passenger During Highway 27 Shootout With Troopers Faces Drug Charges

The passenger in the truck in the incident in which shots were fired at state troopers on Friday on Highway 27 has been arrested.

Courtney Faulkner, 19, of Circle Road in Knoxville was in the truck driven by Cody Seals.

She is charged with possession meth for resale, marijuana for resale and heroin for resale.

Her bond was set at $150,000.

Seals, who was injured during the shootout, remains in a local hospital.

A state trooper suffered a minor leg injury.

When troopers began pursuing Seals he began firing from the truck. He also fired after the vehicle crashed. Troopers fired back.
