U.S. Army Veteran Held Long Careers With Chattanooga Glass Company And Synthetic Industries

William Gilbert Leonard, 80, of East Ridge, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020.  

He was retired from Chattanooga Glass Company after over 20 years of service and had worked at Synthetic Industries for another 15 years after retirement. He had served in the U.S. Army reserve. Mr. Leonard was an avid bass fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. 

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Leonard; son, Jeff Leonard; daughter, Lisa Grant; two grandchildren, Levi Leonard and Dillon Leonard.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
