Chattanooga Area Food Bank Announces 2020 Board Members

  • Tuesday, January 21, 2020
The Chattanooga Area Food Bank adds four members to its 2020 board of directors. The board is led by James L. Catanzaro, Jr., shareholder and chair of the Business and Nonprofit Sections at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C.

Also new to the board this year are Bill Buchanan, editor, WRCB-TV; Megan Flynn, vice president, Talent & Culture, Tennessee Valley Authority; Taylor Hamon, director of sales, Coyote Logistics (associate board chair); and Phil Harris, chief financial officer, Kelly Automotive Group, Chattanooga Brewing Company and Southern Honda Powersports.

Other board officers include First Vice Chair Frank Hughes, executive vice president, Investor Relations, Smart Bank; Second Vice Chair Celeste Bandy Weaver, vice president of Finance and Regulatory Affairs, Ringgold Telephone Company; Treasurer Phil Harris, chief financial officer, Kelly Automotive Group, Chattanooga Brewing Company and Southern Honda Powersports; Secretary and Past Chair Fred Flint, director of Account Management, Starr-Mathews Agency.

“Our Board of Directors provides essential expertise and guidance to our operations that distributed more than 13 million meals last year in our 20-county service area,” said Gina Crumbliss, president and chief executive officer of the Food Bank.
“We are fortunate to have representatives from a cross-section of businesses and industries so we can develop innovative ways to help the one in eight people – including one in five children – in our region who don’t know where their next meal will come from.”

“The Chattanooga Area Food Bank provides essential nutrition to our neighbors in need across Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia,” Mr. Catanzaro said. “But, it doesn’t take being a board member to make a difference. With $1 helping to provide four meals, almost anyone can help make a difference in the lives of those facing hunger.”
