Beverly Pollard Wilson, 74, of Falling Water, went to be with her Lord Jesus on January 22, 2020.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 53 years, Monty, children, Hollie (Will) Goins, and Del (Kelly) Wilson. Grandchildren Quin, Delmont, Lillie Goins and Luke Wilson, brother, Vance (Carolyn) Pollard and nephew, Scott (Karen) Pollard.

He was preceded by his parents, Forrest and Flora Pollard of Soddy Daisy.

As an Army wife, she followed Ruth’s example of wherever you go I go. She supported her family and country moving 13 times between stateside and overseas locations for 25 years.  Her support during Vietnam and other deployments was unwavering. As a mother, she selflessly cared for her children and grandchildren with love.  Decorating her home for the seasons was a favorite hobby and celebrating Christmas with family was a special time of the year.  Sharing travel experiences with family were a joy, especially Vanagon camping and traveling to all 50 states and around the world.

Beverly was always there for school activities, church programs and sporting events. It was a joy traveling with grandchildren to share with them God’s beautiful world at National Parks.  She loved visiting Dollywood and Disney World, and especially enjoyed the family Disney cruise to celebrate her 50 wedding anniversary.

Her UTC Education degree allowed her to do what she loved: teaching in public school and church preschools.  As a long-time member of Falling Water Baptist Church, she loved teaching young children in Sunday School, Awana and VBS.  She loved singing in the church choir and BALL Club.

As such, in lieu of flowers, Beverly had requested Memorial Contributions be given to Falling Water Baptist Church. Special Thanks to Pastor Taylor and the church family for their prayers and support.

Special appreciation and thanks for Dr. James Hayes and the UT Family Practice doctors and staff; to Dr. John McCravey and the Erlanger Oncology and Infusion Center nurses and to the Erlanger for providing world class care. The Nursing, Tech and Support staff on the 7th floor provided amazing care and support.

We will celebrate a life well lived at Falling Water Baptist Sunday at 3 p.m. with a visitation reception to follow.

Interment will be on Monday at 2 p.m. on Chattanooga National Cemetery.  We love you Beverly, Mom, Grandmother. Thank you for always being a wonderful Christian example.
