A 23-year-old man was shot Monday evening on Central Avenue.
Chattanooga Police responded to a shots fired call in the area of 1100 Central Ave. at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police located a person with a minor gunshot wound.
The victim said he was in the driver's seat of his vehicle at a traffic light when an unknown suspect pulled up next to him and fired shots into his vehicle.
The suspect fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
Based on preliminary information obtained, investigators believe the person shot was the intended target.
