The University of Tennessee Extension invites the public to a free, five-week Move Around the Region fun and fitness challenge. Register online at tiny.utk.edu/MAR2020 by Nov. 9.  Participants will receive a weekly email remainder to track and record miles walked. A conversion chart will be provided for tracking other activities such as gardening or biking.

Move Around the Region is open to anyone regardless of fitness level or location and ends Dec. 14.

Participants can register friends and family and record their weekly miles. Prizes drawings will be held for everyone completing the challenge. Participants will receive health tips and be invited to a Facebook group for optional activities.

The program is coordinated by UT Extension in Bradley, Hamilton, McMinn, Rhea, Polk and Sequatchie Counties, but anyone can participate regardless of location. The goal is to keep the winter blues and holiday weight gain in check.
