Carroll, James Robert (Old Fort)

James Robert Carroll, age 73, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday morning, Novermber 15, 2020, in a local hospital.

Mr. Carroll was born in Ten Mile, Tn. and he was the son of the late Viola Roberts and James Robert Jackson. His adopted parents, Walter and Rosie Carroll; sister, Barbara Russell; and brother, Larry Carroll also preceded him in death.

Mr. Carroll was a retired veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He loved to travel, going to casinos and fishing. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Frances J. Salas Carroll of Old Fort; son, Paul Edward Carroll also of Old Fort; grandson, Dustin Dakota Tanner Carroll; granddaughter, Isabella Yolanda Avery Carroll; niece, Missy Wright Conner and her husband Tim of Rockwood, Tennessee; and nephew, Robby Wright of Knoxville also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at a later time.

The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
