Hamilton County Has 231 New COVID Cases And 5 More Deaths; Tennessee Has 3,444 New COVID Cases, 74 More Deaths

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is 331,532 on Friday with 3,444 new cases. There have been 74 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 4,202, said state Health Department officials. 

Hamilton County had 231 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. The new total is 16,169.

There were five more deaths from the virus in the county on Wednesday, bringing the toll to 134. 

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 13,827, which is 85 percent, and there are 2,208 active cases. 

Hamilton County has 124 patients hospitalized from the virus, with an additional 9 suspected cases.
Of those, 73 are county residents. There are 26 people in intensive care. 

The state currently has 2,035 people hospitalized from the virus, 26 more than on Thursday.
There have been 287,908 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (87 percent).

Testing numbers are above 4.215 million across the state.

Bradley County: 4,649 cases, up 27; 33 deaths, up 2

Grundy County: 720 cases, up 6; 14 deaths

Marion County: 1,014 cases, up 5; 16 deaths, up 1

Meigs County: 443 cases, up 6; 12 deaths

Polk County: 614 cases, up 2; 14 deaths

Rhea County: 1,498 cases, up 13; 29 deaths

Sequatchie County: 484 cases, up 5; 5 deaths
