Scenic City Women's Network Distributes 1,000 Masks Through Operation Give Back Program

Tuesday, November 24, 2020
One of Scenic City Women’s Network's many programs and services is Operation Give Back. This service allows SCWN to “give-back” to the community as a way of saying “thank you” to members and to other organizations doing good work.

"In today’s environment, we are happy to share a bit of goodwill," officials said.

Yvonne Harvey, SCWN program’s coordinator, arranged this year through the White House Faith Based Initiative’s Office, a donation of 1,000 masks through the U. S. Health and Human Services.

"We are pleased to announce SCWN was able to distribute these face masks throughout the community during this COVID-19 pandemic," officials said. "These 100 percent cotton masks are lined with silver and copper for greater protection against the COVID-19 virus.
It was a blessing for SCWN to receive them and the even greater blessing was to be able to share with the community."

These masks were donated to the following groups:

- Child Evangelism Fellowship;
- Girls Inc.;
- La Paz;
- The Salvation Army; and
- The Shepherd’s Arms Rescue Mission.
