Before the noon hour on Sunday, November 22, 2020, the angels guided Kenneth V. King, Sr. to meet his Lord and Savior at his heavenly home. Kenneth was 62 years old and a lifelong resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee.   

He was born on August 18, 1958 to Walter and Minnie King. Kenneth was self-employed as a contract worker.

Kenneth loved his family and especially his four grandchildren whom made his world complete. He enjoyed playing the guitar along with being with friends. As his family will tell you “Kenneth was one more character”. Kenneth was a man everyone loved to have in their company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Alvin King and Minnie Roberts King and brothers, Bruce King and Richard Barnes.

Those left to keep Kenneth’s memories alive are his son, Kenneth Virgil King, Jr.; mother of their son, Brenda King; brother, Alvin (Kym) King; sisters, Mary Pritchett, Roberta King, Barbara Jones, and Kristi Wooden; sister-in-law, Shirley King; grandchildren, Brodie King, Brooklyn King, Adalyn King and Luke King along with several nieces and nephews and beloved friends.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from 3-8 p.m. at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

There will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 1 p.m. CT at Gilliam Cemetery in Battlecreek, Tn. with Pastor John Wells officiating.
