Brewer, Chuck

Physicist And Registered Inspector For The State Of Tennessee

  • Friday, November 27, 2020

Thanksgiving just got a little more fun as our own Chuck Brewer joined his parents, Wade Franklin and Franklin Rust Brewer, for a heavenly feast this year.

Chuck left us on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 to spend his favorite holiday with his family and friends who have gone before. He was well known for his never-ending fondness of Thanksgiving Dinner! He will also be remembered for his love of cycling, watching action packed movies, collecting cars and guns, running, watching old TV shows/movies, knowing which restaurant in town served the best meals, MTSU sports, playing tennis and softball, and traveling. His favorite place to go was Fall Creek Falls State Park. Many memories were made there with family as they spent summers and other special holidays there.

Chuck was born on Sept. 28, 1957, in Chattanooga. He leaves behind many relatives and friends. Among them are several special cousins, Red Bank class of 1975 classmates where he played trumpet in the band, and MTSU Wesley Foundation brothers and sisters. He was a devoted son, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed. Chuck had an amazing memory and he loved to talk. He could remember things long forgotten by others making him unbeatable at trivia. He received a BS degree in General Science with a minor in Psychology from MTSU and an associate's degree at Chattanooga State Community College in Health Physics. Chuck worked as a physicist and registered inspector for the State of Tennessee and for the past five years for D.R. Stone & Associates. He had the gift of using his knowledge to help others understand difficult science concepts that were so easy for him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, at noon followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Chuck requested that those who wish to honor his memory make a donation to the MTSU Wesley Foundation at 216 College Heights, Murfreesboro, Tn. 37130 or Hope Fellowship at P.O. Box 1, Chickamauga, Ga. 30707.

Arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415, 423 877-3524.
