Tennessee Has 3,445 New Virus Cases, Including 122 From Hamilton County

Tennessee had 24 new coronavirus deaths on Wednesday as the total climbed to 3,478, state Health Department officials said.  There were 3,445 new coronavirus cases in the state for a total of 269,802.

Hamilton County has no new deaths from the virus and the toll remains at 113 deaths. There were 122 new cases, compared to 106 on Tuesday, bringing the total to 13,048.

There have been 11,728 people in Hamilton County recover from COVID, 90 percent, and there are 1,207 active cases, up from 1,204 on Tuesday. 

There are 91 people hospitalized from coronavirus in Hamilton County, with an additional eight suspected cases. Of those, 36 are Hamilton County residents and 23 are in intensive care. 

The state currently has 1,537 people hospitalized from the virus, 57 more than on Tuesday.

 

There have been 240,587 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (89 percent).


Testing numbers are above 3.745 million across the state.

Shelby County: 38,623 cases, up 290; 578 deaths

Davidson County: 34,006 cases, up 379; 357 deaths, up 2

Knox County: 13,935 cases, up 188; 99 deaths, down 1

Bledsoe County:  1,057 cases, up 3; 4 deaths

Bradley County: 3,850 cases, up 27; 24 deaths

Grundy County: 628 cases, up 11; 14 deaths

Marion County: 867 cases, up 12; 14 deaths

Meigs County: 354 cases, up 1; 8 deaths

Polk County: 553 cases, up 1; 13 deaths

Rhea County: 1,212 cases, up 25; 23 deaths

Sequatchie County: 391 cases, up 9; 5 deaths, up 2
