Hamilton County Has 367 New COVID Cases And 9 New Deaths; Tennessee Has Near Record 10,319 New COVID Cases, 79 More Deaths

Hamilton County reported 367 new COVID-19 cases on Monday. The new total is 23,000.

There were nine more deaths from the virus in the county reported on Monday, bringing the total to 221.

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 19,305, which is 84 percent, and there are 3,474 active cases. 

Hamilton County had 160 patients hospitalized from the virus with an additional 11 suspected cases. Of those, 94 are county residents. There are 42 people in intensive care. 

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at464,624 on Monday with a near record 10,319 new cases. There have been 79 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 5,541, said state Health Department officials.

The state currently has 2,738 people hospitalized from the virus, 59 more than on Sunday.

There have been 394,147 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (85 percent).

Testing numbers are above 5.012 million across the state.

Bradley County:  7,106, up 252; 50 deaths, up 2

Grundy County: 962 cases, up 19; 14 deaths

Marion County: 1,501 cases, up 32; 21 deaths

Meigs County: 726 cases, up 36; 13 deaths

Polk County: 892 cases, up 27; 15 deaths

Rhea County: 2,355 cases, up 64; 39 deaths

Sequatchie County: 824 cases, up 30; 5 deaths

Knox 24,944 cases, up 535; 211 deaths, up 6

Davidson 50,898 cases, up 790; 481 deaths, up 6

Shelby 56,311 cases, up 855; 753 deaths, up 9
