Georgia Has 40 New Coronavirus Deaths, 4,298 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there have been 40 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 9,435.

There were 4,298 new cases, as that total reached 504,501 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 39,310, up 246 from Friday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 2,810 cases, up 41; 34 deaths; 152 hospitalizations, up 5

Chattooga County: 1,382 cases, up 11; 39 deaths, up 1; 94 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 643 cases, up 13; 7 deaths; 38 hospitalizations

Walker County: 3,321 cases, up 28; 53 deaths; 147 hospitalizations

Whitfield County: 9,697 cases, up 108; 108 deaths; 468 hospitalizations, up 3
