U.S. Army Veteran Attended Chattanooga State

Anthony “Tony” Lemar Brown, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in a local hospital.  

He was a 1984 graduate of Brainerd High School.  He attended Chattanooga State College.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  Anthony was a member of Mount Canaan Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Brown; grandmother, Alberta Maples; and uncle, Billy Ray Brown. 

Survivors include his daughters, Ryann McConnell and Kiara Dixon; three grandchildren, Aubrii Dixon, Amarii Sawyer, and Armonii Sawyer; father, Steve Eberhardt; mother, Brenda Brown Johnson; stepfathers, Jessie Johnson and Lebron Carter; brothers, Frederick Johnson, Marlin Eberhardt, and Dustin Bibines; sisters, Carol Chalk, Audrey Harris, Leondra Satterfield, Kanika Staton, LaShona (Juan) Suazo, Yolanda (Kevin) Howard, Ahtiana Eberhardt, Ki’Shayla Shumaker, and Brittany Eberhardt; uncles, Leroy Brown and Larry White; aunts, Deloris Harrison; Vickie, Terry, Pinky, Janette, Tina Simmonds, Linda Simmonds, KKK Simmonds; devoted friend, Kevin Roberson; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Anthony will lie in state on Wednesday, Jan. 6, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no service.
