Georgia Has 48 New Coronavirus Deaths, 3,749 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Saturday there have been 48 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 8,969.

There were 3,749 new cases, as that total reached 442,017 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 36,001, up 218 from Friday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 2,215 cases, up 47; 29 deaths; 101 hospitalizations, up 1

Chattooga County: 1,170 cases, up 6; 32 deaths; 86 hospitalizations, up 1

Dade County: 550 cases, up 7; 7 deaths; 37 hospitalizations

Walker County: 2,715 cases, up 32; 51 deaths; 121 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 8,160 cases, up 116; 88 deaths, up 1; 402 hospitalizations, up 2
