Betty Jewell Burrell, 85, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

Her life revolved around her faith in Jesus Christ and her family. She was an immaculate housekeeper, great cook and a hard-worker. Betty was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Hartline; grandson, Josh Burrell; brothers, Ollie Hartline, Alvin Hartline and Winfred Hartline; sisters, Christine Bradford, Ruth Gross, Grace Elliott, Irene Bodenhamer.

Survivors include her loving family, husband of over 66 years, Troyce Burrell; sons, Roger (Debbie) Burrell and Jerome (Sandy) Burrell; sister, Pauline Christopher; three grandchildren, Shannon (Chasity) Burrell, Adam (Jessica) Burrell, Lamar (Christy) Burrell; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Reverend Jonathan Witt, Reverend Adam Burrell and Reverend Edward Rosser officiating. Interment will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton. Mrs. Burrell will lie in state at Woodlawn Baptist Church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m..
