Final Cost For New Waldens Ridge Fire Hall Comes In At $4,775,936

  • Wednesday, February 26, 2020

The final bill for a new fire hall at Walden came in at $4,775,936, officials said.

The County Commission is being asked to approve a cost overrun of $205,936.

Todd Leamon, county public works administrator, said there initially was no contingency built into the project.

He said extra expenses were caused by some rock and soils that were encountered, the requirement of a retaining wall to separate from a creek, and some communication items.
