Doyle “Dude” Caldwell, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Bonnie Caldwell, and sisters, Aera Bryant and Minnie Ledford.
Mr. Caldwell was a member Cohutta Masonic Lodge # 64 and worked at Textile Rubber & Chemical Company for 42 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Edna Penland Caldwell; daughter, Crystal Caldwell Kadinger (Scott Guffey) of Fort Oglethorpe; son, Dewayne Caldwell (Susan Wilkey) of Dalton; two sisters, Peggy Swords of Bogart, Ga. and Wanda Kelly of Conyers, Ga.; two brothers, Ray Caldwell of Titusville, Fl. and Joe (Jean) Caldwell of Ellijay, Ga.; grandchild, Kohl (Glendi) Kadinger of Jacksonville, N.C.; great-grandchild, Kaleb Kadinger; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 27, at United Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bart Ponders officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 1-2 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be sent to Cohutta Masonic Lodge # 64 in memory of Doyle Caldwell.
