Betty Jackson McCarson
Betty Jackson McCarson, 89, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Quinn Buck Jackson; her second husband, Carl McCarson; sisters, Thelma Elder and Ruth Scruggs; and brothers, Rev. Billie Joe Cochran, Collian Cochran and Ralph Cochran.
Betty was a loving mother who loved to cook and sew. She will be missed.
She is survived by her children, Star (Hubert) Panter of Chatsworth, Quinn (Colleen) Jackson of Cullman, Al., Collian (Kay) Jackson of Chatsworth, Debi Durham of Dalton and Sheila (Alan) Davis of Cullman, Al.; grandsons, Stacy Durham of Chattanooga, Joseph Jackson of Portland, Or. and Blake Jackson of Boston, Ma.; great-grandsons, Logan and Jake Durham; step-children, Phillip (Barbara) McCarson, Phyllis Ihrie, Tony (Becky) McCarson and Judy (Keith) Hilliard all of North Carolina and Ronnie (Cindy) McCarson of Mobile, Al.; and several more grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, May 23, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, in the chapel of Love Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
