Romeo “Sackie” Brown, Jr., was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on April 9, 1962, to Romeo Brown, Sr. and Alfreda Brown. Romeo transitioned into eternal rest on June 4, 2020, in Huntsville, Alabama, after an extended illness.

Romeo matriculated through the Neptune School System in Neptune, N.J. until his parents relocated from New Jersey to Chattanooga, where he then continued his education at Kirkman Technical High School. He worked for Mueler Company in Chattanooga, for over 10 years. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and confessed his love and trust for Him. He was a member of Transfiguration Church for many years and absolutely loved his pastor and friend, Alfred Hawkins, and his church family. He was such a gentle, giving, and kind-hearted person. There were so many who loved and adored him, and he loved them back. His smile and fun-loving memories will forever be in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richmond (Doris) Brown and Lucius (Mattie) Graham all of Chattanooga.

Romeo leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted son: Dominique Brown; two bonus sons: Dewayne Berry and Robert Walker, all of Chattanooga; three sisters: Melva Brown, of Atlanta, Georgia, Michelle (Gary) Robinson, of Madison, Al., and Keishana Brown, of Madison, Al.; sister/cousin: Margo Jones, of Eatontown, NJ; one niece: Kiara Robinson; three nephews: Darius Robinson, Keshawn Robinson, and Terran Brown; two uncles: Rudolph Graham and James Graham; a very special lifetime friend; Merrell “Man” Clark and an abundance of other friends and family.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, June 27, at 4 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
