Otis Ford, Sr., 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, in a local hospital.

 

He was a 1974 graduate of Howard High School.  He attended Mount Canaan Baptist Church. 

 

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lee and Louise Ford; sister, Edna Shipman; brothers, Henry Ford, Homer Ford, and Willie Ford. 

 

Survivors include his sons, Otis (April) Ford, Jr. of Ludowici, GA and Jermaine (Destini) Conyers of Flintstone, Ga.; daughter, Alicia (Edward) Greene of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren; brother, Charles (Sara) Ford; sisters, Irene (Bobby) Heard and Dorothy Simmons, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

 

Otis will lie in state on Tuesday, June 9, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the family service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. as the eulogist.
