Why are local businesses not following the mask mandate? Is it because both county and city leaders say they are not going to enforce it? If so, why was is put into effect anyway?
Look up the mandate the health department published and read sections 4-5-6 about business rules. I have been to several businesses in the county and see people walking in without a mask on. I always wear a mask and when I go into a business if there are people in there without them I walk out and take my money elsewhere. Everyone should do the same.
Someone needs to enforce the mandate. This virus is serious and people need realize it. Look at the rise in cases everywhere.
Just a concerned citizen that respects life over money.

I believe you raise an excellent point. If you walk into a business that isn’t conducted in a way that satisfies you, then walk out and spend your money elsewhere. That’s exactly how capitalism works.
I on the other hand do not believe in wearing unconstitutional and ineffective masks. A type II surgical mask stops particles down to 0.5 microns in size. The coronavirus is 0.125 microns. So this weekend, I drove to the democratic republic of north Georgia and spent $150 on groceries, swam in a pool, and spent more money on shopping. I successfully avoided the Communist Coppinger County mandate.
And, by the way, how exactly would you enforce a “mandate”? Are you going to fine someone and ruin their credit when they don’t pay or better yet put them in jail for a breaking a law that doesn’t exist? Get the county commissioners to all vote on a mask bill then have our communist commissioner sign it into law. If wearing a mask is so life-saving, then ask yourself why haven’t they done that?
