Dorothy Mitchell
Dorothy Mitchell, 92, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
She was born Aug. 13, 1927 in Dalton, Ga., a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Stewart Patton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Mitchell; sons, William “Sonny” Hightower, and Paul “Larry” Hightower; brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Ollie Patton; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Arthur Smith, Elmae and Lock Bold, Rosa and Ojar Ekstedt, and Betty Hyde.
She is survived by her children, Brenda A. Barrett, Linda Brown, Danny Carter; special friend, Bobby Ruff; special pet, TJ; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, July 18, at 11:30 a.m. from the United Memorial Gardens.
