Robert Murphy
Robert Charles Murphy, 71, of Rossville, Georgia, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at home with family by his side.
Robert loved spending time with his children, grand-children and family. He worked as a self-employed mechanic and he loved cars. His favorite pass times were fishing, horeshoes, or sitting in the sun and having a cold beverage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard John Murphy and Opal Janie White Murphy; brothers, Ricky Dale Murphy, Ronald Harry Murphy and Dwight Curtis Murphy; sister, Joyce Ann Murphy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons; Audie Murphy, Nolan Murphy, Eddie Murphy and Eric (Kim) Murphy; daughter, Jamie (Ryan) Williams; brothers, Willard “Zeke” Murphy and Hulen “Murph” Murphy; sisters, Nell Jo Murphy and Kimberly (Robert) Huckabee. Several grandchildren, special grandson Joseph Debord, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews will miss him dearly.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
