Shannon George
Shannon Joy George, 60, of LaFayette, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
Shannon was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps before working for Shaw Industries for over 27 years. Of which, the last 16 were spent at the LaFayette Plant where she worked in human resources. Shannon was well loved and will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and co-workers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve George; and father, Ralph Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Jamie) Cochran; sons, Jesse (Sage) Hylton-Lemons-Link and George Arthur Link; mother, Mary Jones; sisters, Patti Norton and Sherri (Scott) Priester; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
