Boyd Buchanan Girls Race To Second Place Finish At Wildwood Run

The Boyd Buchanan girls raced to a second place finish at the Wildwood Run in Dalton earlier this week.  Taking five of the top 20 spots, the Lady Bucs turned in a team time of 2:08.05 to finish behind host Dalton’s time of 1:59.44.

 

Led by Ashley Young’s 12th place finish with a time of 25:10 and followed by Riley Robertson (25:15) in 13th, Cecily Edmonds and Jenna Sandhoff (16th and 17th) and Caroline Henry in 19th, the Boyd team ran well as a pack.

 

Dalton’s Giselle Dominguez was the first place winner with a time of 22:09.

 

Other local teams competing were McMinn County (third place) and Notre Dame (ninth).

 

On the varsity boys’ side of the race, Dalton took first place honors, while local teams Walker valley finished second and Notre Dame took third. Ooltewah had a fifth place finish, McMinn County took eighth and Bradley Central ran to a ninth place finish. Boyd Buchanan finished 19th.
