Georgia Coronavirus Cases Increase By 1,863 And 46 More Deaths

Georgia state health officials reported on Friday there have been an additional 46 deaths due to the coronavirus. The new total is 6,246.

There were 1,863 new cases as that total reached 290,781 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 26,163, up 101 from Thursday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 994 cases, up 8; 16 deaths; 64 hospitalizations

Chattooga County: 667 cases, up 10; 7 deaths; 45 hospitalizations

Dade County: 231 cases, up 3; 4 deaths; 15 hospitalizations, up 1

Walker County: 1,235 cases, up 20; 26 deaths; 60 hospitalizations, up 2

Whitfield County: 4,247 cases, up 30; 57 deaths, up 2; 223 hospitalizations
