The Notre Dame volleyball team stayed true to its winning course on Saturday, capturing the title at the Volley at the Creek tournament at Coahulla Creek High School in Dalton.
The Lady Irish squad went 6-0 on the day, running their overall record to 18-3 and 4-0 in their district.
Notre Dame garnered wins over Sonoraville, Heritage, Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe, North Murray and Lafayette before taking a three set win over Northwest Whitfield in the championship match.
Leading the way for the Irish were McKenna Brown with 68 kills, 51 digs, 15 aces and one and a half blocks, along with Riley McCormick’s 66 digs, 17 aces and eight assists. Mary Fillauer had 11 kills, 25 digs, three aces and an amazing 139 assists.
