Katherine June Lester Adams
Katherine June Lester Adams, age 89, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
She was born on Aug. 31, 1931 to the late Polk Lester and Martha Loretta Coley Lester. She was preceded by her husband, Jesse Adams, Jr.; daughter, Kathy Adams; brothers, Fred Farmer, John Lester and Babe Farmer; and sisters, Louise Farmer, Clara Johnson, Mildred Farmer and Betty Jean Lester.
She retired from Chattooga County School as a dietitian and was a member of Highway 27 Church of Christ.
Survivors are her loving family, sons, Willie George Adams of Dumfries, Virginia, Jesse Jerome (Angela) Adams, Terry Adams, DeWayne Adams of Summerville, Georgia; daughter, Jacqueline (David Fain) of Rome, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Lester of Summerville, Albert Lester of Augusta, Georgia, Lee Andrew Lester of Chattanooga, Tennessee; godson, Howard Irvin; special family friend, Renee Mathis; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A graveside service and interment will be on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 2:30 p.m. at the Summerville Cemetery, Summerville, Ga. with Pastor L. D. Ludy, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Highway 27 Church of Christ, 11765 Highway 27, Summerville, Ga. from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19.
