Gloria Tucker Witcher, 84, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020, in a local healthcare facility. 

 

She was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where she served in #2 Choir and on The Mother’s Board.  She was a member of Eastern Star Mary’s Chapter #33, and a foster grandparent. 

 

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Witcher; parents, Johnny and Pauline Bryant; and sister, Myrtis Banks. 

 

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Tucker; daughters, Linda Harrison, Veronica Allen, and Monica Burton, all of Chattanooga; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Montez (Walter) Burks of Chattanooga; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

 

Gloria will lie in state on Monday, Sept. 28, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. 

 

Graveside services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Pastor Steve Underwood as the eulogist.
