Hamilton County Has 2 More COVID Deaths And 91 More Cases

Hamilton County has two new coronavirus deaths as the toll climbs to 94.

The number of new cases in Hamilton County on Friday was 91 - up from the prior day's 64. The new total is 9,542. 

Hamilton County has had 8,833 people recover from the virus (93 percent) and there are 615 active cases - up from 603 yesterday.

There are 52 people hospitalized in the county from coronavirus, and five suspected cases. Of those, 25 are Hamilton County residents. Eleven are in intensive care. 

Tennessee had 42 more coronavirus deaths bringing the total to 2,352, state Health Department officials said. 

There were 1,910 new cases in the state for a total of 189,454.

The state currently has 692 people hospitalized from the virus, 82 fewer than on Wednesday. 

There have been 172,618 people who have recovered from the virus in Tennessee (91 percent).

Testing numbers are above 2.756 million across the state.

Davidson County: 26,381 cases, up 129; 303 deaths, up 5

Knox County: 9,298 cases, up 117; 75 deaths

Bledsoe County:  854 cases, up 5; 4 deaths

Bradley County: 2,914 cases, up 21; 17 deaths

Grundy County: 283 cases, up 15; 5 deaths

Marion County: 525 cases, up 7; 8 deaths, up 1

Meigs County: 226 cases, up 3; 3 deaths

Polk County: 388 cases up 6; 10 deaths

Rhea County: 821 cases, up 23; 12 deaths

Sequatchie County: 231 cases, up 2; 2 deaths, down 1
