I am running for re-election because I want to continue to represent City Council District 9 and continue to advance a strong and sustainable economy for every Chattanoogan. If re-elected, I will continue the work to make District 9 and Chattanooga one of the strongest, most equitable cities in the region.

Under my leadership, I have championed the Office of Workforce Development, Public Arts Chattanooga, and enhanced the Office of Family Empowerment to truly address the needs of the whole family.

I am especially proud of the more than 4,500 new jobs created for Chattanoogans at local employers like Gestamp , McKee Foods, HomeServe, Mueller, Volkswagen, Miller Industries, Southern Champion Tray, and M&M Industries, where many of my District 9 constituents are employed.

In addition to securing good jobs for residents, I’m also proud of the work I’ve done to maintain low-to-moderate income housing through the support of PILOTs. I am also incredibly proud to have led the new charter amendment process, ensuring the Police Advisory and Review Committee (PARC) becomes a permanent accountability partner for the Chattanooga Police Department.
