On January 16, 2021, the angels guided Fannie Rednower Anthony, 80, to the pearly gates of heaven to meet her Lord and Savior.   

Fannie was a lifelong resident of Jasper, Tn. and was born on June 7, 1940 to her parents, Willard and Jessie Rednower.   She was married Oakley Anthony, Jr.  Fannie’s career was working as a textile mill worker at South Pittsburg Knitting Mills in South Pittsburg. She is of the Church of God Faith and a member of the Glover Hill Church of God in Jasper.

Fannie adored her children however her fondest love was for her Lord, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In her pastime she enjoyed crocheting, spending time in the outside beauty that God created and taking special care of her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard F. Rednower and Jessie Mae Beene Rednower; son, Edward Anthony; brothers, Paul Rednower and Johnny Rednower; father- in- law, Oakley Anthony, Sr.; mother –in- law, Lola Anthony; brothers- in -law, James Anthony and John Anthony; and sisters-in-law, Edna Jo Anthony and Blanche Anthony.

Fannie leaves her memories to her husband of 60 years, Oakley Anthony, Jr.; daughter, Lisa (Jeff) Freeman; brother, James (Norma) Rednower; sister, Lora Bryson; brother-in-law, Hylos Anthony; grandchildren, Melinda (Mitch) Willis, Jeremy (Jessie) Pass, Kimber (Jesse) Perry, Thomas (Dorisetta) Freeman; nine great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 3-8 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper. Due to the CDC requirements, mask will be mandatory and social distancing will be followed.

The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m. CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with Reverends Aaron and Angela Evans officiating.
