Georgia Has 170 New Coronavirus Deaths; 4,943 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Tuesday there have been 170 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 11,265.

There were 4,943 new cases, as that total reached 689,676 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 47,006, up 265 from Monday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 4,082 cases, up 27; 44 deaths; 172 hospitalizations, up 2

Chattooga County: 1,835 cases, up 9; 47 deaths, up 1; 127 hospitalizations

Dade County: 888 cases, up ; 8 deaths; 42 hospitalizations

Walker County: 4,698 cases, up 27; 59 deaths; 193 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 12,707 cases, up 62; 156 deaths, up 1; 609 hospitalizations, up 1
