Buris Clemons
Buris Clemons, 56, formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away following a lengthy illness, on January 24, 2021, at a medical facility in Calhoun, Georgia.
Buris attended Auburn University, graduating in the medical field. Nursing was her passion. She provided quality care for thirty years in long-term care facilities, prisons, mental health centers, and home health.
Buris grew up in Cleveland, Oh., and was educated and graduated in Rome, Ga. She loved to travel, relocate, fish, shop, and spend time with family. She engaged herself in the ministry and dedicated her life to Jehovah. Buris was a true survivor, who through Jehovah, prepared herself and her loved ones for her departure.
Buris was preceded in death by her mother and father, Leon Marbury, Sr. and Cora Neil Marbury; son, Antonio Marbury.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Desiree’ Marbury, McDonald, TN, and Brittany Crowder, Rome, GA; two sisters, Anita Marbury (George Daniel), Calhoun, GA, and Sonya Marbury, Gadsden AL; two brothers, Leon Marbury, Jr., Gadsden AL, and Melvin Marbury, Calhoun GA.; five grandchildren, Zsamereia, Jurnee Grace, Jermereius, Jailen, and Jarell; uncle, Otis Marbury; nieces, Nikita Marbury, Atlanta, and Jalisa Dammond, Rome GA.; nephews, Chris Marbury, Chattanooga, Carlos (Chastity) Marbury, Clifford Marbury, and Corey Marbury, Gadsden, AL.; Melvin Marbury, Jr., and Jerrodrick Marbury, Rome GA; extended family members, Sandra, Malcolm, and John, Shalchick, and Schecobia Buckner, Chattanooga; many aunts, cousins, and special friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2–6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the funeral home.
