Hixson Boys, CSAS Girls Win District 6 Bowling Championships

The Hixson boys survived a nail biter of a match against Signal Mountain Thursday and emerged as the District 6 bowling champions Thursday at Spare Time lanes in Hixson. The girls held their tournament on Wednesday with number one seed CSAS defeating Soddy Daisy for the crown.

The number two Wildcats edged the number one Eagles by a score of 18-9, but the pin count was much closer, 2785 to 2740. 

Signal Mountain was paced by Ryan Leun’s 569 series, while teammate Andy Goidel backed him up with a series of 538.
Cameron and Blake Compton led Hixson with series of 609 and 608, respectively.

In the semifinal matches, Hixson defeated CSAS, 16-11 (2704-2557) and Signal Mountain defeated Soddy Daisy, 21-6 (2425-1578).

The CSAS girls  were led by Tamyra Long’s 525 series in their 24-3 (2346-1275) win over the Lady Trojans.
