Born January 18th, 1956, Carolyn Narcissis (Beanie) Bean, passed away Wednesday, October 14th, 2021.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Sallie and Charles H (Charlie) Bean, Jr; grandparents, Eliza Hickman Young, George Young, Mary Emily Triplett Bean, and Charles H Bean, Sr.; brothers, Charles Roy Bean and Joe Clyde Bean; and brothers-in-law, Bob Price and Gary Rowland.

For 65 years, Carolyn has blessed so many with her smile and laughter and remarkable memory of never forgetting a name or face. She loved to travel, dance and sing; in fact for a number of years, she would visit the nursing homes with friends at Life Bridges and sing for the residents. She loved being a part of Life Bridges (formerly Hermes and Bradley Cleveland Developmental) for 44 years and they were her second family. She loved all her nieces and nephews and enjoyed them from babies till all grown up.

Carolyn is survived by her brothers, Tommy and Helen Bean and George and Venda Bean, both of Charleston, TN; sisters, Dot and Dan Culton of Greeneville, TN, Maxine and Gary Jones of Ocoee, Nancy Price Rowland and Betty Bean Smith, both of Cleveland, and sister-in-law, Kathy Bean of Decatur. Nieces and nephews, Tom Hardy and Samantha Bean, Lillie and Adam Garrett, Donna and Kenneth Malone, Cherie and Clay Nations, Joy and Bob Burgess, Russell Bean, Tim and Rhonda Price, Shonda and Rob Hensley, Curtis Bean, Charles (Chuck) and Leandra Bean, Tony Bean, Kimberly and Lee Fredericks, Michael Bean, Daniel Bean, Caroline Payne, Jennifer Freeman, Janice Cooke, Angie and Willard Golden, James (Buz) Grissom, Sally and Tanner Meachen and Clay and Naamah Jones. Also, many great-nieces and nephews.

Carolyn’s second family included many caregivers, nurses, case workers, and staff at Life Bridges in Cleveland. The family expresses how much they appreciate the love and care you gave her, and a very special thank you to Ida, Ciera, Jennifer, Kallen, Jessica, Vickie, Sweet Daddy, Breonna, Cindy, Justin, Yolanda and others who not only took care of her needs but loved her like family.

Special thank you to Diana Jackson, CEO, Life Bridges, Andrea Price, ISC with TN-CSA and Kourtnei White, Dawn Griswold and Chaplain Tony Dodd and others of Chattanooga Hospice for your love and care for Carolyn.

The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service and Interment will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dennis Price and Pastor Titus Snyder officiating. Songs by Ty Crumley. Casket bearers will be Tim Price, Harrison Price, Ross Yates, Michael Bean, Buz Grissom and Clay Jones.

The family request that memorials be made to Life Bridges, 764 SW Old Chattanooga Pike, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
