Edna Houston Coleman, 72, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021.

She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Edna was a 1967 graduate of LaFayette High School and was a registered nurse for 40 plus years. She retired in 2001 from Cobb General Hospital in Austell, GA, and at the age of 65 retired from Adventist Hospital in Calhoun.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Hazel Houston.

Survivors include her husband of 21 years, David Coleman; daughters, Christi Miller and Stacy (Zach) Williams; stepson, Brian Coleman; grandchildren, Alex, Stephen, Hannah, Loretta, Elizabeth, Hazel, and Harlan; great grandchild, Avery; sister, Fredna (Sidney) Ray; brother, Robert (Julia) Houston; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Evans officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robert Houston, Vernon Barnett, Brandon Houston, Josh Bright, Ralph Waldrop, and Zach Williams.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
