Scott Johnston Moore passed away over the weekend after an illness. 

He was born in Chattanooga on Sept. 23, 1963, to Andrew C. “Scrappy” Moore, Jr. and Elizabeth Edwards Moore.  A graduate of the McCallie School, he received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Scott was employed by Heatec for 27 years where he designed heat exchangers. He traveled the world for business and pleasure, including two summers at Oxford University in England.

Scott loved animals, especially his dogs, outdoor sports, and time with his family.  His favorite hobby in recent years was gourmet cooking.

Scott is survived by his parents, his brothers Tom of Ringgold and Chris of Atlanta, and his sister-in-law Elizabeth along with two nieces Catherine and Helen.  Other survivors include Scott’s many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins and their spouses. 

He will be buried at Forest Hills Cemetery and a memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society of Tennessee Valley 865 573-9675.
