William “Doug” Barker, 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021, with his niece, Lisa Barnard, by his side. 

 

He was of the Baptist faith and a resident of Harrison. Doug worked for Harrison Bay State Park for over 30 years.  He was an avid WWF wrestling fan and loved the Smoky Mountains.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jessie Barker, and sisters, Linda Lively and Sue Linam.

 

Doug is survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m.– 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, Highway 58 Chapel.  A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating.

Doug will be laid to rest in Maddox Cemetery in Harrison.
