Debbie Carver Sayne passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 23, 2021. 

She was a devoted wife and mother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Debbie attended Johnson Bible College and graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.  She spent her entire career as an educator, retiring in 2020 as the librarian from East Hamilton Middle School.  Debbie was an active member of Hickory Valley Christian Church, serving with the Hand Bell Choir and volunteered in numerous children’s ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, JT and Mary Carver.

Debbie is survived by her loving  and devoted husband of 32 years, Tom Sayne; son, Matthew Sayne; sister, Janet (David) Smith; brother, John (Pat) Carver; brothers-in-law, Jim Sayne and Mike (Theo) Sayne;  sister-in-law, Rebecca (Jim) Von Stein; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 29, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.
