Larry Gene Clark was born in Greenville, Ky., and grew up in Bremen, Ky.

 

Having graduated in 1968 from Bremen High School, he went on to earn his MS in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tn. As an electrical engineer, Larry worked at TVA, Combustion Engineering in the Metallurgical & Materials Laboratory, and McKee Foods, where he retired after 26 years of service as senior electrical engineer. In retirement, Larry worked as an instructor of engineering at Chattanooga State Community College. He was a member of Abba’s House in Hixson.

 

Larry enjoyed photography, woodworking, and walking in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed Sunday afternoon drives.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Gene Clark, mother, Dorotha Mae Middleton Clark from Bremen, Ky., and wife, Nancy Gale King Clark.

 

Larry is survived by his wife, Cynthia Clark; his son, David Lee (Kelly) Clark; his grandchildren, Conner and Nancy; his step-children, Farrah (Josh) Rosenthal, Natalie (Matt) Doebler, and Levi (Leslie) Godwin; his step-grandchildren, Jack, Chloe, Zelda, and Edgar; sister, Linda Ann Clark (Gary) Moore; brothers, Tony Lloyd Clark and Charles Sherman Clark; and nephew, Christopher (Woody) Moore and their children, Maya and Lucas.

 

Private funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 1, at Chattanooga Funeral Home - North Chapel, with Pastor Doug Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
