Stephen Lee Collins II
Stephen Lee Collins II passed away on October 4, 2021, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was born June 5, 1977, in Buckhannon, W.V. to the late Alana Patricia Collins and Stephen Lee Collins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Mescal Stalnaker Collins and Shirley Williams; sister Jennifer and niece Brittany.
Curious, talented, smart, passionate, creative, and clever. These are a few of the ways to describe Stephen. These qualities are what led him to learn guitar, work on motorcycles, obtain his general class ham license (KJ4HHB), create amazing meals from fridge scraps, and a million other things. Stephen had a passion for life and for experiencing joy and everything the world had to offer. Most importantly Stephen had an infinite capacity for love (sometimes quietly and from afar but always there) and love of food, music, motorcycles, books and so much more; but above all, people…his people. His smile and (occasionally inappropriate) humor were infectious. Stephen was himself, an experience and his life and love were a gift we are all better for having received.
Stephen is survived by his stepmother, Fronita Ann Collins; daughter, Kohana and grandson, Bodhi; partner, Holly and her daughter, Lillian; sisters Samantha, Shannon and Hailie; niece and nephews Jordan, Devan and Trevor; uncle and aunts, Bernard (Mary Lou), Marsha (Charlie) and Paulette; best friend and faithful canine companion, Mary; and a host of extended family and friends.
